On the morning of January 24, 2019, He Jinping, Vice Governor of Henan Province, visited the Zhongyuan Four Seasons Aquatic Product Logistics Port to inspect food safety efforts. He was accompanied by Tang Yuanyou, Director of the Provincial Market Supervision Administration; Wan Zhengfeng, Vice Mayor of Zhengzhou Municipal Government; Wu Fengjun, Party Secretary of the Market Supervision Bureau; and Li Jianxia, Director of the Market Supervision Bureau. Also present were Xue Yunwei, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Government; Li Ruopeng, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Commerce; Zhang Song'an, Deputy Director of the Zhengzhou Market Supervision Bureau; Wang Dexian, Director General of the Market Supervision Bureau; Li Weiguang, Member of the Standing Committee and Executive Deputy District Chief of Huiji District; and Qing Huashan, a member of the bureau’s Party leadership team.
Accompanied by Qiu Xinhang, Chairman of the company, and He Lihong, General Manager, Vice Governor He inspected the market’s food safety operations. During the visit, he learned about Zhuhai Huasuo Technology Co., Ltd.’s development of a market traceability product system and its advanced cold storage temperature-control equipment. He encouraged the company to continue maintaining rigorous quality control at the source, ensuring a steady supply of high-quality, safe products for consumers during the Spring Festival.
Vice Governor He showed keen interest in the company’s product traceability system, pausing for an extended time in front of the product display cabinets to carefully examine and inquire about details. He emphasized, “The Traceability Pass software allows consumers to instantly verify product quality simply by scanning a code, giving them peace of mind. You must continue delivering premium-quality goods at reasonable prices—businesses should always operate with integrity.”
In the cold storage warehouse’s entry registration area, officials briefed Vice Governor He on the company’s robust food safety management practices. They explained that all incoming edible agricultural products must undergo thorough verification, including checks on origin or sourcing documents and certificates of conformity. For pre-packaged foods, companies are required to retain inspection and testing reports. When handling frozen meat products, they must also ensure the presence of both inspection certificates and quarantine approvals. For imported edible agricultural items, businesses must present cargo inspection and quarantine certificates before allowing the products into the warehouse—a policy strictly enforced to prevent non-compliant goods from entering.
Vice Governor He expressed his full approval of these measures. Later, in the temperature-controlled room, Zhang Song'an, Deputy Director of the Zhengzhou Market Supervision Bureau, highlighted the critical role of temperature control in safeguarding food safety. He noted that this principle was first introduced by the Zhongyuan Four Seasons Aquatic Product Logistics Port—and that the company has since become a national leader in adopting cutting-edge practices in this area.
To further enhance transparency and accountability, Vice Governor He instructed staff to retrieve the temperature monitoring records from January 24, 2017. The data remained clear and well-documented, fully meeting industry standards. As Henan’s largest wholesale market for frozen agricultural products, the company plans to transition to electronic scanning systems in the near future, establishing comprehensive digital records to rigorously maintain the quality and safety of its food offerings.
